We’re back again today to sample some of the finest snacks Disney’s Magic Kingdom has to offer! Magic Kingdom has really upped their snack game this year, as this post will prove.
In no particular order, a mixture of old and new…
Cheshire Cat Tail
Item: Cheshire Cat Tail
Location: Cheshire Cafe (Fantasyland)
This is almost impossibly sweet, which usually turns me off. But I love this. It’s rich, chocolaty, flaky, and typically served warm. One of my favorites.
Score: 8.5 out of 10
House Made Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
Item: House Made Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
Location: Adventureland Egg Roll Cart (um, Adventureland?)
Price: $7.50 for two
I never got to try these on their first go-around, so I was excited when they returned. They live up to the hype. The dominant flavors are ground beef and american cheese (what a shock!), with a bit of pickle and onion flavor as well. My pair were very fresh, hot, and flaky. Very good. And don’t listen to anybody that says these taste like McDonald’s cheeseburgers… these are MUCH better than that!
Score: 8.0 out of 10
Witch’s Frozen Brew
Item: Witch’s Frozen Brew
Location: Prince Eric’s Village Market (Fantasyland)
I won’t lie, this didn’t sound very appealing. Not very appealing at all! But the blog wants what the blog wants, so I ordered one. It was pretty good! Very, very sweet, but the strange combination of flavors (including frozen lemonade, frozen Coke, Monin cherry, granny smith apple, watermelon, and red passion fruit syrups) actually works in a very strange yet tasty way. I did end up mixing it together, as getting a full gulp of any one of the syrups is a bit too much to handle.
Score: 7.0 out of 10
Pineapple Upside Down Cake w/ Dole Whip
Item: Pineapple Upside Down Cake w/ Pineapple Dole Whip
Location: Aloha Isle (Adventureland)
This is what happens when you take a good thing and make it better. Pineapple Dole Whip is delicious. Pineapple Upside Down Cake is delicious. What else is there to say?
Score: 9.0 out of 10
Peter Pan Float
Lime Dole Whip is a recent addition to Disney World, and they are milking it for all it’s worth here at Storybook Treats! First they had this Peter Pan Float, then the Maleficent Waffle Cone, and just recently the Tink’s Pixie Dusted Cone (which I have yet to try). But I’m not mad, because Lime Dole Whip is quite tasty! This float is very sweet (I’m noticing a trend) but goes down very nice on a hot day.
Score: 7.5 out of 10
Item: Citrus Swirl
Location: Sunshine Tree Terrace (Adventureland)
This is one of my personal favorites. It’s a combination of sweet vanilla soft serve and sweet/bitter frozen orange juice. On it’s own the OJ is a bit much, but when paired with the vanilla soft serve it is refreshing, delicious, and not insanely sweet like most of the things in this post.
